Preface

This book was written with Quirework, which is the software it is about.

I am aware of how that looks. A book about a tool, made with the tool, is either a demonstration or a confession, and I have not decided which.

Quirework has no opinion about sentences. It keeps a list of what a book has promised, reads the chapters against the list, and says so when one of them disagrees. It said so several times while I was writing this one. I fixed most of them.

If you find a place where this book disagrees with itself, you have found something the software missed. I would like to hear about it, though not as much as you might think.

Every name in this book has been changed, and everything that deserved it has been exaggerated.

The rest is about a different book, and what I did instead of finishing it.
